Farewell to Paul Lonton - Happy trails!

With season 2015 now behind us, our WNPL Technical Director, Paul Lonton, is looking forward to his much anticipated Around Australia road trip. We wish him and his wife a wonderful time with good weather and happy memories galore.

The following is from Paul to the Souths community and in particular, the ladies in the program:

Although we had some difficult times on the pitch this past season, I have really enjoyed my time with Souths and I do feel some regret that it has been so short.
It was  very refreshing and a great joy to work in a family orientated club that appreciates all players, coaches , officials and parents while still delivering football programs from grass roots to the highest levels. I am sure this philosophy will guide the club to bigger and better achievements in the near future.

It has been a humbling and rewarding experience to have worked with these remarkable young people and the difficult good byes’ at the end of training last night only highlighted the responsibilities and the joy of being a coach and an educator to these players.
Thank you to all and if I do return to coaching after our travels around Australia, I will certainly come knocking on the door at Souths first.
